New Rich Gold Deposit Discovery in Guyana

Guyana Gold Exploration

(Guyana Chronicle Online) – Tajiri, a Canadian gold mining company, announced the discovery of a new gold deposit at Kaburi project last week.

Tajiri Resources Corp., the Canadian company, said that 2013 Kaburi drilling program resulted in drilling 33 holes in a 5-fence pattern to confirm the mineralization trends identified through the 2012 Geothermal sampling program.

Spring 2013 Reverse Circulation (RC) drilling exploration results were extraordinary. The drilling showed 22 meters of 2.69 g/t gold grades and 10 meters of 5.13 g/t gold grades. The average workable and productive gold grades in the Guiana Shield region in South America are between 0.8 and 1.5 g/t.

Graham Keevil, Tajiri CEO, said describing this new finding as: “the newest gold discovery within West Omai Gold Camp”. He added that the area is quickly becoming one of the most exciting gold exploration districts.

Tajiri CEO also said, the company was able to turn the Kaburi Prospecting License from a Greenfield exploration in July 2012 to a substantial gold discovery in less than a year.

He added that the Board is looking forward for further results from drill efforts at Kaburi, and defining additional mineable zones with potential.

The economy of Guyana, the non-island Caribbean country, depends on gold exports, as it represents around 35% of the country’s export earnings.
