Turkey’s gold imports have rushed to their largest on record so far with around 271 tonnes of gold trade in the first 11 months of the year, Anadolu Agency described.
Data from Borsa Istanbul showed, Turkey imported 270.7 tonnes of gold in the first eleven months of the year, more than twice 2012’s full-year trades of 120.8 tonnes.

Inanc Sozer, Odeabank authorized told Anadolu bureau, the second largest import rate in Turkey was in 2005 with 269,5 tonnes of gold while the smallest trade rate in Turkey was in 2009 with 37,6 tonnes of gold import.
