Russia’s customs agency announced, that Russia’s foreign trade volume reached 194.8 billion U.S. dollars in the first quarter of the current year 2013.
Commission explained in its weekly statistical statement that, the volume of Russian exports in the first quarter of the current year amounted by 124.4 billion dollars. It is down by 5.2%, while the volume of imports reached 70.4 billion U.S. dollars, by an increase of 2.5% from the same period last year. And shrinking the Russian foreign trade balance surplus in the first quarter of 2013 increased by 13.6% to $ 54 billion, compared with its size in the same period of last year.
