(miningweekly.com) – ASX-listed Republic Gold said that its exploration undertakings in Mozambique were continuing stay unaffected by the little pockets of unrest in other parts of the homeland on Monday.
The mining company has three gold exploration projects around Manica and Chimoio in the Manica province, in Mozambique.
The company’s exploration undertakings were a considerable expanse from trouble locations related to small, once-off skirmishes rather than ongoing confrontation, Republic MD and CEO Mark Gille said.
He added that the company’s understanding and know-how of the geopolitics of the district provided it promise. “We have considered the situation and incidents in other components of the homeland are not affecting us. Our groups on the ground are extending to work as usual with no break to our designs occurring or expected,” Gille said.
He added that Republic did, although, have careful methods in place to double-check that it would be adept to reply appropriately to the unexpected.
Mozambique President, Armando Guebuza, previous this month, moved to calm fears of worldwide investors, asserting that the unrest in the homeland was constrained to one locality and was comprised. “Mozambique is not in a position of instability,” he asserted at the time.
