Kirkland Lake Gold Inc. (TSX:KGI)(AIM:KGI), a Canadian operating and exploration gold mining company listed in AIM Stock Market in London and Toronto Stock Exchange announced its operational results for the second quarter of fiscal 2013, starting from August till October 2013.
During the second quarter, the gold mining company produced 34,935 ounce of gold from 105,670 tons of ores produced at a head grade of 0.35 ounces per ton with recovery rate of 95.17%.
The daily ore tonnage for the quarter increased to 1,150 tons per day.
Year to date, 65,113 ounces of gold were produced from 203,458 tons of ores were produced at a head grade of 0.34 ounce per ton and an average recovery rate of 95.11%.
The company’s Chairman, Harry Dobson, said that 2013 production schedule was planned to increase the ore tonnage quarterly, and production growth should be accelerated over the second half of the fiscal year. The full year production results is expected to come in toward the lower end of the company’s guidance range of 150,000 – 180,000 ounces.
