Highland Gold in Russia Endorses Full-Year Production Aim


(Reuters) – Russian gold miner Highland Gold is on track to rendezvous its full-year output target, the business said on Monday after posting an increase in first-half production.

The company said it expects gold and gold equivalent output – a measure of gold and other metals conveyed in units of gold – to be between 225,000 and 240,000 troy ounces for the full year after first-half output increased 3.7% year on year to 105,630 ounces.

The company partially belongs to by oligarch Roman Abramovich, said last week that it had felt “no big influence” from gold prices dropping by about a quarter this year.

Highland Gold’s London-quoted portions rose by 6.6% at 73 pence by 0904 GMT.
