Gold settles above 1620 dollars before elections Greece

Gold prices settled above 1620 USD/troy an ounce –  in Europe, as traders sought to caution the Greek pre-election early next week that may put an end to the membership of Athens in the European monetary union.
Spot gold rose 0.1% to 1623.50 dollars per ounce by the time 0936 GMT, while the U.S. has stepped up gold for August delivery 4.8 to $ 1624.40 dollars an ounce.

And gold on his way to a height of about 2% this week, as found good support after a series of weak U.S. data, also fueled speculation that the crisis in the euro area may impair the modern American all procedures monetary easing by the Federal Reserve (Fed).
