China’s gold production exceeded the limit of 400 tonnes in 2012 to reach 403.05 tons, up by 4.09 tons higher than in 2011, with the arrival of the level of increase to 11.66%, ranked the first in the world for the sixth consecutive year.

The latest statistics from the China Gold Association in Beijing yesterday showed that the output of gold in China was 4.07 tons in 1949 and 13.8 tons in 1975 and more than 100 tons in 1995 and more than 200 tonnes in 2003 and 270.49 tons in 2007 and 300 tons in 2009.
